Even before Ben and Erin Napier made traveling in an airstream utterly trendy, Laurel and Jones County, Mississippi was home to plenty of places to rest your head among the great outdoors. Whether you’re looking for a cabin, RV parks, or campground, Jones County has you covered!
Big Creek 10 Water Park
We’re not sure what draws in visitors more, the relaxing countryside of Jones County or the abundant fishing waters of Big Creek Water Park. Situated between Laurel and Collins, Mississippi off Highway 84, Big Creek 10 Water Park is the ideal location for travelers. Only a short, 10-minute drive from downtown Laurel, dining and shopping is easily within reach, while the great outdoors await you back at your home away from home. Bass, bream, crappie and catfish abound in the 200-acre lake, so be sure to bring your gear to cast a line. Nature enthusiasts should be sure to explore beyond the lake where you’ll find one of the oldest cedars in the state of Mississippi, while history buffs will want to make time to explore the historic cemetery where the first homesteaders of the area are buried.
Full RV hookups are available, and the park also has two cabins and two camp houses. Swimming, picnic spots, and even aluminum boat rental are all available year round! It’s a perfectly family-friendly vacation spot.
